About us: The Carlton Veterinary Hospital history

Dr. Eric Witherspoon purchased Carlton Veterinary Hospital in 1979 as a rural mixed animal practice. Over the ensuing years, the practice grew to multiple veterinarians specializing in equine and small animal medicine and surgery.

In 2000, Dr. Eric founded Healing Tree Products, developing and manufacturing topical wound and skin care, hoof care and grooming products for horses and pets.

In 2006, Healing Tree expanded into the human market with a line of unique topical healing skin solutions for people.

At both Carlton Veterinary Hospital and at Healing Tree, we pride ourselves on being full of compassion, commitment, and the determination to keep your pets healthy

throughout their lives.

In addition to providing routine care and vaccines, Carlton Veterinary Hospital is a full-service veterinary facility made up of a modern hospital, surgical unit, radiology department, and an on-site laboratory.
